Obituary of Stewart Cameron Campbell

Born May 6, 1942, in his 80th year Cam passed away at home surrounded by his family on April 15, 2022. Loving husband of Pauline Campbell (née Gibson). Dear father of Robert (Bidsey), Lorrie Atkinson (James) and Daniel (Chris). Loving grandfather of Lauren Atkinson and step-grandfather of Felecia (Anthony), Marty, Jeff (Toni) and Kyle. Dear brother of John (Wilma), uncle to Susan (Nick), Jackie (Michael), John, Andrew (Stacy), Marie (Ken), Don (Carolyn), Violet (Daryl), Stephen (Diane), and step uncle to Bob McTavish (Doris). Dear brother in-law of Joe Gibson (Sandra), Mary Rodgers (Ron), Arlene Reid and Rhea Gibson. Loved by many step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Stewart and Sarah Campbell, brother Glen Campbell, step-sister Amelia McTavish (Walter), nephew David Campbell, father and mother in-law Henry and Gladys Gibson, sister and brother in-laws Beverly (Lloyd), Glen, Gladys (Norm) Jim and Darlene (Roger).

Cam worked as a mechanic at Gord Massies, Wallace/Red Star Transport, the St. Lawrence Seaway and Atkinson Delivery and Bobcat Services. He was a member of the Wainfleet Volunteer Fire Association for 30 years, and the Masonic Lodge. Thank you to Dr. Philips and staff at the Walker Family Cancer Centre and Cam’s family doctor, Dr. Ollier. Also thanks to the nurses Becky, Jocelyn and Melissa for their care and compassion.

The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Saturday April 23, 2022 from 12 - 3 p.m. Memorial Service will follow in the Armstrong Chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Laura Borgerson officiating. If so desired, donations may be made to the Niagara Health Foundation for the Walker Family Cancer Centre or to the Wainfleet Volunteer Fire Department.
