Obituary of Fortunato Occhialini

After a lengthy illness Fortunato will suffer no longer, he has been called to Heaven on April 14, 2022 in his 74^th year. Beloved husband of Angelina (née Fracassi). Loving Father of Stefania Santarella (Tony) and John. Caring Nonno of Piper and Colton. Fortunato is survived by his Siblings; Filomena (Lucio), Amalgerie (Savio), Mirco (Daia), brother in-law Aldo, and by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, Italy and the U.S.A. Predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Lilia, and by his sister Gabriella.

The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Tuesday April 19, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 123 King Street, Port Colborne with Father Wesley Woloszyn as celebrant.  Rite of Committal with Entombment will follow at Pleasantview Mausoleum. At the family’s request, facemasks and social distancing will be required for the visitation at the funeral home.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
