Mark Dagenais

Obituary of Mark Anthony Dagenais

After a short but courageous battle with ALS, our loving father, brother, and uncle passed away on Wednesday February 23rd, 2022, surrounded by his family. Loving father of Matthew (Jen) and Nadean (Tom) and grandfather of Cierra and Vaida. Survived by his siblings Leona Beaudion (Milan), Nancy Taylor (Dagenais), Jeff, Pam Laroche (Rick) and Gary (Ginette).  He will never be forgotten by Kathy Knott (Bill)- mother of his children.  Mark will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Predeceased by his father Leo, mother Marion, brother Leonard, sister Monica. Mark was a hard-working proud Canadian man who loved his family. He retired with pride from General Motors after 34 years. He had a love for writing and felt his highest achievement was publishing his book of poetry called “Journey 366.” He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and his trips with his brothers to the Picanoc. It was easy to see the sparkle in his eyes when he was with Grandpa’s girls. You will be in our hearts forever. Love you always Dad.  Special thanks to Dr. Gladman, Dr. Manser, and the staff of St. Elizabeth’s Health Care System, ALS Clinic, Hotel Dieu Shaver, LHIN, ProResp, Remedy RX, Care Partners, CBI Health, and Palliative Care Paramedics. Very special thanks to Nurse Jade, Julie, Roshan, Melissa, Nicole, Cindy, Sarah, Chelsea, Sim, and Monica for their extra special help, support, and care for our father.
