Obituary of Bonnie May Hemauer
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Bonnie Hemauer (nee Knutson) on February 3, 2022 at Northland Pointe Retirement Home at the age of 92.
Bonnie was predeceased by her loving husband Andrew (2004) and son Raymond (2005). We will all take comfort now knowing that Mom will be able to spend time with Dad and Ray.
Bonnie was the loving mother of Don (Joanne) and Linda Robinson (Barry) all of Port Colborne. Mother-in-law to Nickie Hemauer. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Jason Hemauer (Sue), Derek Hemauer (Lucy), Darcy Hemauer (Hannah), Darin Hemauer (Jen), Matt Robinson (Krystal), Katie Scalzo (Phil) and Shane Robinson (Christina). Bonnie was blessed with 16 beautiful great grandchildren; Emily, Andrew, Quinten, Everett, Hudson, Charlie, Hattie, Lauryn, Nolan, Molly, Jake, Carly, Logan, Kiera, Sophie & Lucas.
Bonnie was a member of Central United Church and was very involved in the Women’s Auxiliary for many years. Mom loved puzzles, perusing her extensive library of recipes and baking. She expressed her love through food and her baking which she loved to share with her family. We will all miss her Angel Food Birthday cakes with fluffy icing.
The family would like to acknowledge the amazing and caring staff at Northland Pointe (Starboard floor) for their outstanding compassion, professionalism and love that they showed our mom each and every day. The smiles and songs that they shared with her through this very difficult time of COVID was nothing short of wonderful. She truly loved them all.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. Due to COVID restrictions and our large family, visitation and service will be limited to family only. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Wainfleet.
If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Northland Pointe, C/O Recreation Events to further the wonderful programs that they provide for the many residences of Northland Pointe.
