Obituary of William Stanley Provencal

“Family - Where life begins & love never ends!” On Tuesday, January 19, 2021, Heaven gained another Angel, William Stanley Provencal at the age of 85. “You left this world but forgot to tell our hearts how to live without You.” Stan is survived by his loving wife, Carol of over 62 years. Loving father to Kathy (Barry Wilson) Martin & Jeff (Tish) Provencal. Proud grandfather to Matthew (Ashley Shatkosky) Martin, Krystal (Wally Raha) Provencal, Meagan (Kent) Garlough & Derek (Nadia Benner) Provencal. Extra special great - grandfather to Bryant Martin, Ryu & Sofie Garlough. Brother to Reggie (Shirley) McRae, Ray (Marion) McRae, Connie McRae, Janet (Eddy) Hazelwood, Rawleigh (Beverly) McRae & Carolyn (Wayne) Stewart. Uncle & great - uncle to several nieces & nephews. Stan loved life & always put his family first. His passion for the game of hockey, led him to coach the game for several years & was a diehard Montreal Canadiens fan. He was employed by Inco upon his retirement. Our family would like to express their sincere thanks to Bruce & Ruth Schinkel, the local paramedics, his PSWs Tiffanie, Veronica, Kelly & Anna, his family doctor, Dr. Xu and Les Brown of the Armstrong Funeral Home & Chapel for their care and compassion shown to Stan and his family. Cremation has already taken place with funeral arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. A Celebration of Stan’s Life to follow at a later date will be held at the Port Colborne BIC Church. If so desired, the family would request that donations be made to Camp Kahquah or BIC Canada - Global Missions.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a Memorial Service at a later date.
