Marcel Nolet

Obituary of Marcel Nolet

It is with sorow we announce the passing of Marcel Nolet after a lengthy illness on Friday September 13th at the age of 72 at the Welland Hospital. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Gisele and his daughters Josee (Andy), Lee-Anne (Mark). Also left to mourn are his grandchildren Eric (Melissa), Elizabeth (Tyler) Leslie and Alyssa (Adam) as well as his great granddaughter Lilianna “Thumper”. He will be sadly missed by his mother Florence (late Laureat), sisters Lise (Steve) and Diane, and his brother Mike (Kathy), as well as many nieces and nephews. Not to be forgotten by his fur baby Mia. Marcel was the previous owner of Lakeview Taxi. He also D.J.’d many happy occasions under “Through the Years, M&G Productions” and was a PSW for several years for the March of Dimes before illness forced him into retirement. We take comfort in knowing he is now free from years of pain and we would like to think he is up there DJ’ing with his father Laureat at his side. Till we meet again, stay safe in the arms of Jesus. A special thank you to the staff of March of Dimes, for the excellent care which allowed him more time at home with his family.

The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be recited on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday September 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Armstrong Chapel with Father Michael Andrysiak as celebrant. Cremation will follow.
