Noel Nadeau

Obituary of Noel Narcisse Nadeau

Our community sadly lost a pillar on Saturday, September 7, 2019. Noel passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Welland Hospital at the age of 82. He leaves behind his cherished wife of 58 years Betty and his much loved children Michael (Deborah), Jacqueline (Dan) Topa, Patricia (Julius Bartfai) Clark and Sharon (Scott) Pitchko. Loving Grandpa of Raeanne and Haley Bryniak, Shane and Celia Nadeau, Mackenzie (Kyle Kennedy) and Jake (Kerissa Kennedy) Topa, Jessica Nelson, Lauren, Sarah, and Jula Bartfai and Caleb and Carter Pitchko, and dear Great Grandpa of 5. He will be missed by his 1 sister, 2 brothers and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, the Bunz family and friends. Predeceased by his one brother and two sisters. For most of his life, Noel resided in Wainfleet and worked for Atlas Steel for over 30 years. Noel was known and loved by many. His contributions to his community include his years devoted to his family – rarely missing a child’s recital, sports event or school play; he was a Volunteer with the Wainfleet Fire Department and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Noel was a man of kindness, loyalty and compassion. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The Nadeau family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Armstrong Chapel with Father Peter Walton officiating. There will be a private family interment of ashes at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Lung Association.
