Obituary of Neil Joseph Lawrence Bazinet

Passed away peacefully at the Port Colborne Hospital on July 7, 2019 at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his daughters Deanna Harper (John), Brenda Rowland (Jeff), Ann Marie Imre (Ted) and their mother Dolores Bazinet. Loving grandfather of Jennifer Rowland (Paul Claxton), Leslie Rowland, Tess Rowland, Andrea Falcioni, Luke Falcioni, Joseph Imre, Brian Imre and John Imre. Neil is also survived by his brothers Allan (Clazina), Roger (Eileen), and  his sisters in law Gloria Marshall (John), Louise Green (Terry) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Leo and Florence Bazinet.

Neil was a very humble man. He had a kind and selfless heart that touched the lives of many people in need. He was instrumental in the development of the Out of the Cold Program in Port Colborne and was also a strong member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

The Bazinet family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  Vigil prayers will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday July 10, 2019 at St. Patrick’s R. C. Church at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Wesley Woloszyn as celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Mount St. Joseph Cemetery.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
