Obituary of Theresa Punyi

PUNYI, THERESA

It is with heavy hearts we announce her passing on October 30, 2018 in her 74th year after a brief but brave fight with cancer. She is survived by; her husband Ernest, children Christopher and Michael, grandchildren Michael, Matthew and Mark, sister Claudette Badawey (Wayne) and Pauline Cousineau, and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Philias and Juliette Cousineau, and by her sister Nicole Buccilli. Theresa was a very caring person and made sure her children and grandchildren inherited this trait. She enjoyed reading, knitting, bingo and was a fine pitcher for a ball team that had a lot of fun. The family would like to thank the staff at the Welland Hospital and Joselyn, Dawn, Lindsey and the rest of the home care staff. Thank you all who brought us food.

The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Wednesday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday November 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jean de Brébeuf Roman Catholic Church, 300 Killaly Street East, Port Colborne with Father Peter Walton as celebrant. Rite of Committal with will follow at Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery. If so desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences available at www.armstrongfuneralhome.ca
