Obituary of Concetta Burattini
Passed away peacefully on April 20, 2017 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 77.
Loving wife of the late of Darmo - 2012. Dearly missed by her sons Albert (Wendy) and Gino (Janet). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Sam (Danielle), Amanda (Michael), Jordan, Shelby (Dan), Mauryah (Chris), Jessica, Katelyn and by her great-granddaughter Mia. Devoted and caring aunt to Lena Sassano (Robert), Danny Sassano and to her great nieces and nephews Keri, Allan, Laura, Felisha and Patrick.
She will be missed by her sisters Antonietta Sassano (late Pasquale), Chiarina Seville (Franco), brother-in-law Ottelo (Neildi), and sister in-law Maria (late Peter), Agnes (late Alfio), Malvina (late Italo), Ivana (Claudio), Antonietta and Lucia. Also, survived by her many nieces and nephews and several family members in Italy.
Predeceased by her parents Michele and Nunziatta Santoro and by her brothers Nicole and Giuseppe.
Concetta was born in Italy and came to Canada when she was 27 years old. She was an active member of St. John Bosco Church and an active volunteer with special needs for the Port Colborne Bocce Club. She loved to work in her garden and cook for her loving family. The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Monday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Vigil will be held at the funeral home Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church with Father Peter Walton as celebrant. Rite of Committal with Entombment will follow at Pleasantview. If so desired, donation may be made to Community Living.
